Troubleshooting your SuperWrap: fixing stickiness, stiffness and when to know it's time for a refresh

Sometimes your wrap may feel too sticky, frustratingly stiff, or just not cling like it used to. Don’t sweat it! Most issues are easily fixed and we’ll help you spot when it’s truly time for a refresh. Don’t immediately switch to other alternatives or purchase a new one and save your money wisely! Our wraps can usually last for around one year but don't be disappointed when one minor problem comes. Here are some common problems our users face:

1. The Dreadful "Too Sticky" Situation

Wraps can usually stick aggressively to themselves, still intact even though you try to disassemble them. This is due to how humid or hot the temperature is, making it tackier than intended by exposure to direct sunlight. For this, put the wrap in the fridge for 10-15 minutes to cool it down and remove the wrap gently.

2. Brittle or Stiff Feeling

Sometimes it just does not cling well or tears very easily when being used in a bowl. This may be because you’ve been keeping it at a very cold temperature, like the fridge. For this, put the item at room temperature(not in direct sun!) to defrost for around 30-60 minutes. Your wrap should be able to unwrap now.

3. A sticky "footprint"

Some of our users experience problems, such as having leftover beeswax remains in their containers. Unfortunately, this usually happens, but this guarantees how organic our ingredients are. Instead, when there are wax remains in your glass containers, boil it in a hot water bath for 5-10 minutes until the wax melts. If you are using a plastic container, simply use a warm towel to melt the small bits away.

4. Knowing When It's Time to Let go

-Loss of Cling Power: It won’t stick to bowls or itself reliably anymore, no matter the troubleshoots you did.

-Visible Degradation: The fabric looks cloudy, discolored or excessively dry.

-Compromised Sealing: Noticing more moisture inside despite being properly wrapped.

Don’t let some minor problems ruin your SuperWrap experience! Who knows, maybe a quick chill or boil often solves the issue. But when it has gone old, it's time to treat yourself(and your food) for a fresh new pack. Enjoy a fresher, less frustrating summer kitchen!
